They use low-impact dyes that have the Oeko-Tex 100 certification, and require less water. The linen items are GOTS certified. Avani sources their materials within Europe, and their garments are also made locally. They show on the website where and by who they’re made (90% in France and 10% in Portugal). They reduce their carbon footprint even more by only delivering within Europe. For transparency, you can find information about the origin and sustainability of their materials by scanning the QR code on each product page of the e-shop and on the labels of the clothes
More than 80% of their collections are made of Tencel®. They also use GOTS certified organic linen, Lenzing Modal®, hemp, and merino wool and recycled merino wool from Italy. They only use buttons from natural European materials, and no zippers. The fabrics don’t contain elastane or other synthetic fibers
They produce in France and Portugal, which are relatively low-risk countries for workers’ rights violations
They try to mostly use mono-materials (so not mixed) to allow maximum and effective recycling
