All of their swimwear is made in the United States and the majority is crafted locally in California. The other items are made by global fair trade artisans. They use digital printing for the majority of the prints (reduces water use and fabric waste). They implement measures at their headquarters and warehouse to reduce their environmental footprint (they are mentioned on the website)

The materials they use are: recycled nylon, Lycra®, recycled cotton, Tencel®, linen, GOTS certified organic cotton, hemp, metallic Lurex and recycled cashmere. All their fabrics are OEKO-TEX® certified

They claim they have close relationships with all the factories and visit them regularly to ensure employees are being treated and paid fairly and the working conditions are clean and safe

Their packaging materials are recycled or biodegradable. They offer a Vitamin A x Retold Recycling bag. You can fill the bag with any old clean and dry swim, clothes or household textiles, and send it back to Vitamin A. The items will be donated, upcycled, or recycled
