The 20+ Best Sustainable Coats And Jackets For Winter 2021

A camel colour coat and a black version from sustainable brand HUND HUND

December has started, which means winter is just around the corner. So, it’s time to start looking for a sustainable coat to keep you warm and cosy this winter, while also being mindful of the environment. Keep reading to see a list of 22 coats and jackets for winter 2021. The list features sustainable clothing brands from Europe and the United States. Whether you’re into puffer jackets, shearling style or classic wool coats, there’s something for everyone!

I assume you stumbled upon this blog post because you want to dress consciously. A big part of having a sustainable wardrobe is being mindful of your purchases. So, before we get to the list, I want you to go through your closet first and see which coats and jackets you already own. Outerwear is something you don’t have to buy new every year. A coat is an investment that you can enjoy for many years. But, sometimes you just grow out of them and are longing for something different. So take a good look at the winter coats you currently own, and decide whether you still want to keep all of them. If there’s one that just doesn’t fit your style anymore, you can sell it online, and treat yourself with a new ethical coat.

Okay, now that we’ve cleaned out our closets (or at least the outerwear section), it’s time to browse through some of the best coats and jackets for this winter. Scroll down to see 22 coats that are trendy but will also last you a long time. You can read why each brand is sustainable by clicking the links under the images, and you can find the whole brand list here.
