How To Dress Like Cassie From Euphoria In A Sustainable Way

When there’s a new TV show that takes place in high school or college, you know the fashion won’t disappoint. There have only been two seasons so far of Euphoria, but the style of the main characters has already made a big impact. A lot of the looks are not even realistic outfits you could wear to high school, especially if there’s a strict dress code, but you can still take inspiration for when you go out with friends or even if you want an easy Halloween fit. A lot of fast fashion brands have quickly jumped on the trends and you can see Euphoria-inspired items everywhere. However, there are many sustainable brands who have similar pieces as well, and you can also find a lot in thrift stores. So, if you’re obsessed with the fashion in Euphoria, consider checking sustainable brands and secondhand shops first, so we don’t harm the planet too much with our fashion cravings.

In this post series, I’m diving into the most iconic looks from some of the main characters, and show you how you can recreate the looks with items from sustainable brands. In this third post, Cassie Howard, who you can recognize by her almost exclusively pastel pink and blue wardrobe. Cassie Howard

Cassie Howard, played by Sydney Sweeney is a sweet and popular girl who was best friends with another main character called Maddy Perez in the first season. She is known for having a long dating history and she is constantly taken advantage of and used by boys because of her looks. She has low self-esteem which ends up causing a lot of issues in the second season. 

Cassie has a cute and sexy style and likes to wear tight clothes to show her curves, and lots of baby blue and baby pink. Her skirts and jeans are always high-waisted and usually paired with crop tops with details like drawstrings or a lettuce-hem. She also pairs her high-rise bottoms with bralettes or a tank top with a cropped cardigan with wrap or tie front. Tops with longer sleeves are often three-quarter length sleeves, and the jeans she wears are straight-leg in a light blue wash. You’ll also see her wearing mini dresses with a ruffle bottom and puff sleeves. For a more casual outfit, she wears cropped sweatshirts with matching sweatpants.

The most sustainable way to recreate an outfit is by using things you already own. The most important part about Cassie’s style is probably the colours. Baby blue and baby pink are her signature colours, and you might already have some items in those colours, like a short light blue denim skirt, a baby pink crop top, or even a pastel blue or pink short dress. If you don’t own enough items to create a full Cassie-inspired outfit, the next step would be to do some thrift shopping.
